The SBLC rehabilitated and developed a natural space with dedicated single-track trails for mountain bikes, trail running, and hiking. The 26-acre Michigan Sugar Trails site is located on the Middlegrounds with trails open to a wide variety of users. Birders, fishermen, walkers, runners and cyclists all can come and enjoy the trails for recreational purposes.

Single-track, natural surface trails do not exist elsewhere in Bay City. The existing trail network loops throughout the site and covers a variety of terrain, providing quality riding experiences for riders of all levels.
